I spend the bulk of my day working on my computer, and that’s usually with audio turned on. On top of that, I have my cell phone almost everywhere with me and especially when I’m in the car. If you don’t know already know, Cape Town traffic gets from bad to worse every year and spending time in traffic is soul draining. Although I don’t need to travel that much for work, even the odd meeting here and there could equate to a few hours a week in driving. So, I used to spend this time catching up on the latest tunes whilst flipping off all the other drivers but since 2017 I decided to spend each second of my day more productively.
What do I listen to now? Podcasts.
Podcasts are great, not only are they free but it provides a wealth of knowledge without actually taking the time out to read. If you’re anything like me, a book becomes a bit boring after you turned the cover over. Well if that sounds like you then hello podcasts!
Podcasts are also fully customisable and becomes your very own radio station with a plethora of information. I listen to a wide range of podcasts, all depending on my mood. If I am feeling the mom vibe then my parenting podcasts are on. When it comes to business, I listen to quite a diverse range of podcasts ranging from social media marketing to financial freedom.
